Dear Parents,

Thanks to Mrs. Amirault, our grade four students will take part in the Grassi iRide Bike Program again this year. She will run the lessons with volunteer support. The program’s goal is to increase student’s knowledge about bike safety and smart decision-making skills when on the bike. Most of all, we want the program to inspire children and youth to develop their riding skills and increase their fitness level.  At the core of the program is the desire to provide cycling physical literacy skills to enable kids to be active for life!

Dates for our class:
Four lessons of 45 minutes.
June 11th and 18th at 10:30 (period 3)
June 13th and 20th 8:45 (period 1)

Each of these four days, students will be required to have:
  • their own helmet
  • bike in good working condition (ABCs need to be checked - Air / Brakes / Chain (oiled))

Students who are unable to get their bike to school will either be able to ask a friend to borrow their bike for the 45 minutes class or sit out and take notes.

Where does it take place?
  • Outside on the LGMS soccer field
  • Millennium Park
  • Trail Ride along Bow River (last day)

Thank you for encouraging your child to ride their bike!
