Week of March 25

We're not yet done learning together this year, but we are starting to think about the next school year.  Please let us know if you and your child plan to still be here with us so that we can start planning our classes for next year.  LGMS family -intent form.  

Monday: As an early Easter gift - no homework this week :)

Tuesday:  Please keep reading at home and practicing multiplication facts.

Wednesday: 

Thursday: Multiplication (3 by 1 digit) for marks

Friday (no school) Happy Spring break to all.  I'll see everyone back on April 15th!

After we return:

April 17 - Outdoor Learning - Grotto Canyon.  Please let me know if you are able to join us on this full day trip

 Week of March 18

Carnival D'hiver at LGMS is this Friday afternoon!

Students will need to be dressed for outside activities and are asked to bring in a mug ahead of time for hot chocolate. Parent volunteers to help run the outside stations are much appreciated.  Please let me know if you are interested and able to help out.  

Monday: Spelling list 11 comes home.  Assignment and test Friday.  

Also coming home- a couple of copies of class photos (we had a lot this year so everyone got 2-3!)

Tuesday: Recorders needed for music

Wednesday: 

Thursday:  Labelled mug needed for hot chocolate

Friday (full day):  Spelling due

Winter carnival - Students are asked to dress up if possible wearing jeans, a plaid shirt, tuque and a sash/scarf around their waist.  Fun winter activities in the spirit of the Quebec Winter Carnival will take place all afternoon.  

 Week of March 11

Parent -teacher-student interviews are taking place this week.  Please arrive promptly for your meeting (knock on the door if your time has begun to help keep us all on schedule).  Your child will be sharing their goal, reflections and a couple of items from their portfolio.  You'll then be invited to take the portfolio home to look at in more depth.

Monday: Math weekly goes home - due THURSDAY

Tuesday: Math - time (key concepts - duration, converting between units and using quarter after/quarter to and half past/to for times)

Wednesday:     Interviews 5:00-8:00

Thursday: Math weekly #10 due    Interviews 4:00-7:00

Friday (no school for students):  **Book orders are due by 8:00AM **

Interviews 8:30-11:30  Professional development afternoon

 Week of March 4th

Parent-teacher-student interviews are next week.  You would have received an email from our office already and you can start booking this afternoon.  The system will only let you book a single (15min) block.  If you would like more time to talk, or your child has an individual plan you would like to discuss, please let me know or contact the office to book two back to back blocks.  

* Please make sure that you choose a time when your child can join us as well since they will be talking to you about their goals and items in their portfolio*

Spelling #10 comes home.  Please support your child to practice their words and to complete their short homework assignment. 

Tuesday: Timed Multiplication facts assessment
