 Week of Nov.2

**Parent-teacher-student interviews are this week.  Please be sure that your child comes with you to your interview time.   They will be talking about their own goals as well as their classroom choices.  

** Interviews are 15 minutes.  Please arrive for the beginning of your time slot and depart before the next appointment to be respectful of everyone's time.  

Monday: Morphology- New words and homework come home

 Please send your child's portfolio back to the classroom.  

Tuesday:

Wednesday: Library - book exchange day

     Parent-teacher-student interviews 5:00-8:00

Thursday:Morphology Homework due and Test

     Parent-teacher-student interviews 4:00-7:00

Friday (No school for students - AM interviews, PM Professional Development)

     Parent-teacher-student interviews 8:30-11:30

 Week of Oct. 26:  Bookings for Parent-teacher-student interviews are open.  The link and information was sent to you by the office last week.  These are 15 minute interviews and are booked on a first come basis so if you have other evening commitments, please book right away.

Thursday: Portfolios come home - please look through your child's portfolio with them in the evening or over the weekend.  Please have these returned to school by Monday in advance of our Parent-teacher-student interviews next week.

Friday (full day): Morphology Homework due and Test

Halloween activities - Students can dress up if they want for the day (no extreme violence or weapons).  Student leadership is doing prizes for costumes.

 Such a great day on Sulphur Mountain today - and a big thank you to all of our parents that were able to join us, and Mr. Kelly who organizes our Outdoor Learning field trips.

Week of Oct. 20 

Monday: No school for students

Tuesday: Bus safety

No Morphology this week, we will be back at this next week.

Wednesday: Library - book exchange day

Thursday:

Friday (full day): Full day field trip to Sulphur Mountain. - Students need a bag lunch, full waterbottle (and other drinks) and clothing for the weather.  We will be outside most of the day and doing quite a bit of walking so good footwear and clothing are important.

** On Friday you'll receive an email from the office about booking your Parent-teacher-student interviews.  Please be sure your child can join you during the interview time that you book because we will be discussing their goal setting **

Week of October 13 - I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend that was filled with smiles and good food! 

For the next 2 weeks students will be outside for gym while they do a unit on lacrosse.  We have gym in the morning Mondays and Tuesdays, so clothing that works for our chilly mornings will be important.

   Math - Comparing decimal numbers and rounding for marks
