Week of January 8th

A very happy New Year to everyone!   I hope that you were all able to enjoy some rest, relaxation and outside time.

While students transition back into the habit of being prepared and at their best for school I ask you to help support them with set aside homework times, healthy breakfasts and bedtimes that help them to be rested for their full days of learning.

Thank you all for everything that you do at home to help your child to do their very best on their learning journey :)

Monday: Spelling #7 goes home

 - please help your child to discover and write the names of 3 towns in Alberta outside of our valley.  These might be places you have family or friends, spots you have visited, or just placed you discover online together :)

Tuesday:

* Swim to Survive Jan 9- Feb 13* Students need to be prepared to move quickly both getting to the pool as well as getting out of the pool and walking back to the school due to the schedule.  Please help your child to be prepared to do this by talking about this expectation the night before.

Wednesday Students will all need a book they have read and can discuss.  This should be at a level that is accessible to them (not too easy or too hard).  In class we will be writing book talks this week to present to the class early next week (being an audience for your child to practice presenting to is STRONGLY encouraged!)
