Week of January 5 - welcome back to everyone!

Thank you to our Norquay parent volunteers for joining us the next three weeks to play in the mountain snow!

Monday: Spelling comes home

We are starting our multiplication and division unit in math.  Daily practice with math facts to help build confidence and speed is strongly encouraged.  Just 5 minutes a day can make a big difference!

Tuesday:

Wednesday: Norquay ski trip - we leave by 9:00 and should be back at the school for 3:00.  

Students require their gear (skis and boards can't be sent on the school bus, please drop these at the school either Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning), appropriate Mitts, ski pants, coat, helmet and goggles (if they have them), as well as a bagged lunch, drinks and snacks.

* Students are responsible for staying with their instructor (or adult group leader in the afternoon) and for showing respectful and safe behaviour at all times *

Thursday:  

*Library - books for renewal or return  need to come to school today

Friday (full day OR half day, dismissal at 12:00):  Spelling test and Assignment due

 Week of December 15

** At least 2 more volunteers are needed to ski/snowboard with students on each of our 3 ski dates in January (7,14,21)**

Spirit week activities are written in green for each day this week

Monday: No homework this week.  All story good copies are due.

Monday - Wear holiday colours

Tuesday:

Tuesday - Wear holiday accessories

Wednesday: Candy cane sales $0.50

Positive choices board games are due

Wednesday - Wear blue or white to celebrate the winter season

Thursday: 5A and 5B Movie morning - students are invited to bring one comfort item (a blanket, pillow or stuffy) and a small snack to eat during the movie

*Library - books for renewal or return  need to come to school today

* Full locker clean out - students are responsible to spray and clean out their own locker 

Thursday - Wear your holiday sweater

Friday (half day, dismissal at 12:00):   

Today we say goodbye to Ms. Fletcher :(  

We've been very fortunate to have her with us this first half of the year and wish her all the best when she returns to the U of L to finish her final term of schooling and as she begins her teaching career!

Friday - PJ day and pancake breakfast 

 Our Grandpal meeting today was a great success!

Week of Dec 8

Our ski trip to Norquay is coming right after we return from break.  Right now we do not have enough volunteers for us to go on our trip.  

I am looking for 2 more people that can ski or snowboard (you will have a group of students to go with in the afternoon but in the morning you can ski yourself) and 1 more chalet parent to hang out and be the support in the chalet on Jan 14th.

Monday: Math Weekly comes home

Tuesday:   All rough copies and editing of stories should be done.  

1:30 - Grandpals meeting :)
