The last week if grade 5! 

Portfolios will come home Tuesday or Wednesday of this week in advance of report cards being released Friday.  

Monday:  Statistics for marks (and that concludes math for the year!)

French - activities with Mme. Gamache's grade 8 class before lunch

Tuesday: - Body systems - Maki Maki interactive poster project sharing with 5A

Wednesday:  Afternoon fun swim with all of the grade 5s.  Please be sure your child has a separate swim bag.  

Thursday: Novel movie day!  

Friday (half day, dismissal at 12:00) - Awards ceremony 10:30-11:30

And that's all for this year.

Week of June 16: 

Monday: No more weekly homework - spelling and math weekly duotangs will come home this week. 

LGMS National Aboriginal Day Assembly 

Tuesday:

Wednesday:  Adding/Subtracting fractions and ratios for marks

Final Gymnastics this afternoons - students need to be wearing clothing that is flexible - longer hair needs to be tied back, hoodies, socks, hats and other accessories will need to be removed

Week of June 9th

Monday: Spelling comes home - this is the last one for the year and students are welcome to choose from any of the assignments that we did this year for their practice this week.

Tuesday: 

10:30-12:30 Flight Center activities brought to us at LGMS by the Hangar Flight Museum

Wednesday:  *Library - All LGMS library books need to be returned today

9:00-10:15 - Grand Pal Wrap up event.  Students are encouraged to bring a small game or activity to share with their grandpal

Gymnastics in the afternoons June 11 & 18 - students need to be wearing clothing that is flexible - longer hair needs to be tied back, hoodies, socks, hats and other accessories will need to be removed

Thursday:

- Comparing, showing and ordering factions (proper, mixed and improper) for marks

Friday (full day):  Spelling #15  - Assignment this week is open to student choice

  Week of June 2: 

Monday: Math Weekly #15 comes home

Tuesday:  Final stories  (twisted fairy tales) to be completed by the end of the day Tuesday

Wednesday:

*Library - books for renewal or return should be back in the morning  ** Next week all library books are to be returned to the library
