 Week of: April 12

I hope that you were all able to recharge a little and enjoy some outdoor time (whether in the sunshine or snow:) over spring break.

As I'm sure you are aware from the news updates there have been a lot of new COVID cases and many school closures and contacts taking place across Canada.  Also, for many of us being home over the break meant less need to wear masks and practice other safety precautions, but as we move into the last part of this school year please help to keep us all safe and working together in the classroom.

Check in with your child and help them to remember the importance of masks, sanitizing and maintaining distance.  Our desks are spaced out as much as possible but the only time students can choose not to wear their masks is when they are sitting in their own space, facing forward.  Leaving the desk (or turning to someone else) needs to include putting a mask on, and using sanitizer should take place before touching other items in the classroom.

I know we are all tired of the limits that this pandemic places on us.  This has been extra difficult for all children and I appreciate each of you for helping to support our safe schools and in person learning with any extra conversations and reminders that you are able to have at home.

Thank you!
