Week of Jan 13:
Thank you to everyone that has completed all of the myriad of paperwork involved in getting us onto the Norquay ski hill. Pending a few RCMP checks we also have enough parent volunteers for all three dates so a HUGE thank you to the wonderful parents joining us!
Please watch for more information about our ski/snowboard expectations on this school trip, as well as those areas of Norquay that will be open and available to students when we are there.
Monday: Spelling #7 comes home
In math we are now working on our biggest outcomes - multiplying double digit numbers and dividing numbers into the hundreds. Both of these skills are very dependent on students having a good grasp of basic multiplication facts so please take a few minutes a day to review these with your child.
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
*Library - books for renewal or return should be back in the morning
Thursday: Insect investigation posters to be completed and ready to present today
Friday (half day, dismissal at 12:00): Spelling #7 and Assignment due
Hockey Day in Canada: Special Assembly 10:30-11:30am - students are encouraged to wear hockey jerseys or shirts or LGMS clothing or colours
Science supplies needed - we will be doing some building in science. Students will need some paper/plastic cups, cardboard, skewers and/or straws this week to create a wind turbine, and next week will need to bring items to create a diorama like: a shoe box, playdough/plasticine/clay, cardboard...
Please start collecting and send in items with your child so they have them in their locker for when we begin.
