June 4B event calendar (will continue to be updated as new events are added so please check often)  

Volunteers needed please!  The end of the year gets very busy with lots of awesome outings.  During these times we also need extra support to help students to be able to work in smaller groups with an adult leader.  

I am looking for:

• 4 volunteers for Wednesday, June 14 (Bow Valley provincial park - Plants field trip) a
• 4-5  volunteers for Wednesday, June 28th (Banff - Cave and Basin)

Tuesday:    no weekly homework assignment 

- students are asked to bring a card game or board game that they enjoy so they can play it with their Grandpal on Thursday

Wednesday:     Please have a clean tin can for Science at school by Wednesday

6:00 LGMS fundraiser movie night!

Thursday:     

- French final project -Les vêtements due

10:30 Grandpal wrap up event (board games needed - please label with your name)

Friday (half day):     

 - Social - Indigenous stories project due (in Google Classroom)

Dear Parents:

The grade ⅞ leadership class is planning a movie night for students in grades 4-6 with all proceeds being donated to the Calgary Homeless Foundation. 

Date: Wednesday, May 31

Time: Doors open at 6:00 and movies starts at 6:15 (102 minutes)

Location: LGMS Gym

Cost: $5.00

Concession: popcorn, chips, pop and juice

Movie: Puss and Boots: The Last Wish

We hope to see your child there not only for a fun evening, but also to raise money for a worthy cause. They can bring a blanket or sleeping bag to sit on and comfy pajamas.

We will need 6-8 supervisors to be in the gym during the movie. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact sonja.howatt@crps.ca. The concession, set up and clean up will be done by the leadership students.

 Week of May 23   

Monday:   no school

Tuesday:    Spelling #13 comes home

* A big thank you to everyone that has returned field trip forms already.  If you have not gotten around to this please try to get these completed and returned for tomorrow.  

Wednesday:     

Thursday:     Clean, dry tin can needed for Science soon (we will be planting in these - please make sure they aren't sharp and if you have one extra that you can share that's always appreciated)     

Friday (full day):     Spelling #13 test and assignment due in the morning

10:30 - Arts Place - ceramic making   

1:30 - Legend story sharing with Ms.Breen's and Mme.Carly's class

** No school for students Monday May 29th - this is a professional development day for all CRPS staff
