   Week of Nov.28 :

We've had some negative recess choices cropping up lately.  If you having a chance in the next few days, can you please talk with your child about what some positive choices for them might be.  What makes an activity a game? What helps us to see that everyone us enjoying themselves?  What should we see or hear?

Monday:  This week's homework is spelling

Tuesday:  $2 bake/popcorn sale to support the gr.7/8 Quebec trip

Wednesday:

Thursday: Please keep an eye out around your home (or recycling centers).  Students will be asked to bring in a shoe box soon  (not yet though please) for a number of experiments in our Light and Shadow unit.  (A similar shaped small box with a lid that can open will also work)

Friday (full day): Spelling assignment due first thing in the morning.

* Can you help?  It is not quite December yet but we are down to our last half dozen boxes of Kleenex.  If you could please send a box or two of Kleenex in with your child it would be much appreciated.  I'm very happy that everyone is using a tissue, instead of their sleeve or hand, but we will soon be at critical levels*

   Week of Nov. 21:

Monday:  This week's homework is math weekly.

Students should also be studying daily for about ten minutes/night to be as prepared as possible for their unit test on Thursday.  Parent support while they work towards developing positive study skills is much appreciated.  Our student made study notes are also available in Google Classroom to help you at home.

Tuesday:  French learning games with Mme. Gamache's grade 8s.  Her class has been working hard to create and plan some fun learning activities for us and we're excited to join them in the morning :)

Wednesday: Students should be bringing home their Reading Record tonight (at the latest) to complete any last sections and get your signature on it.

Reading records need to be fully completed (ALL sections and parts) with as much detail as possible to show understanding of the book they have chosen.

Thursday: Waste Unit test     Reading records are also due first thing this morning.

Friday (half day): Math weekly questions are due first thing in the morning.
