Next week in Science we are going to be making kaleidoscopes as we near the end of our Light and Shadows unit. Each student will need the following supplies:
- a paper towel tube
- shiny/reflective material - this makes the inside and creates the fancy shapes using reflection. Tinfoil can be used, or there is mirrored craft paper, or even the (clean) inside of a chip bag is quite reflective. The more mirror-like, the better it should work.
- coloured plastic (translucent) film, or small coloured translucent beads (I have some as well)
Finally - this is for the dads (or grand parents, or... basically anyone but mom please). Please follow this link for something else that we need your help with.
