Welcome back! We are on the final stretch of this school year. At this time of year in math we work through smaller outcomes at a quicker speed so please check in with your child often about what they are working in in class and don't forget those big skills too. Add, subtract, multiply and divide skills are perpetually important!
Monday Today we began our novel unit in LA - We will be doing Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and Number the Stars by Lois Lowry which are both fabulous novels!. We will be working on questions and projects related to it until the end of the school year. After discussing the vocabulary and topics for the two novels, and having time to explore them students chose the one that they want to work on. Please check in with them about their choice and ask them to explain to you why they chose that novel.
