Week of May 16th

* Spelling homework is due THURSDAY of this week due to the long weekend *

Monday:  Spelling #13 comes home.   Also in agendas tonight you should find a page that your child completed last week celebrating an accomplishment in school, and a non-academic accomplishment, that they are proud of.  

Helping your child to celebrate these achievements, and validating for them the things that they are proud of themselves for, can help them to feel more positive during a time of year they may be struggling in.  

Thank you for all that you each do to support your child on their learning journey!  School is hard work!! 

Tuesday:  Music & Library   Twin or triplet day

Wednesday:  Wordle Wednesday    

Science - Students should bring their basic supplies to school for their Rube Goldberg and electric cars today  (they may add to delete things along the way as their ideas grow) * Gr. 5 supplies should fit in a large plastic ziploc * Gr. 4 supplies should be in the box they plan to build in

LA - Alliteration digital posters on Google Classroom are due

Thursday: Music  Throwback Thursday  

Science:  Initial planning and building of science projects begins - finished items are due completed by next Friday.

Friday - no school for students.  Happy long weekend!

Monday: Math weekly #13 goes home and is due back by Friday morning at the latest

Tuesday:  Music & Library  If you haven't done so yet, please return the signed filed trip form as soon as possible and let me know also if you can volunteer to join us.  A big thank you to the lovely parents that have already done this!

Wednesday:   Please remember that Electric Cars and Rube Goldberg devices are coming soon (we may start them a little earlier than planned, just before the long weekend) and students need to be collecting their supplies.

Thursday: Music 

Friday (full day):   Math weekly #13 is due

* If you have a criminal record check on file at the school and you would like to help us build our science devices  (we'll be doing these during double block times after lunch from about 2:00-3:30 mainly the week of May 24th) please let me know.

   Week of  May 2

Volunteer opportunity :)    On Thursday we will be walking over to ArtsPlace  to enjoy "The Seven Stars", performed by the Smalleyes Family of Stoney Nakoda, mixes storytelling with traditional and contemporary dance. It tells a traditional story of seven brothers and sisters who dance their way back to their home in the stars.

If you already have a criminal records check and would like to walk over with us right after lunch at 12:45, please let me know. (We will be returning to the school about 2:00)

Monday:  Gymnastics  (next Monday there will not be gymnastics due to scheduling conflict with the gymnastics club, but we will continue May 16th and 30th to finish our sessions)

Spelling #12 comes home.  Please remind your child to complete both the full assignment, as well as practice their words and have them back in class by Friday morning

Permission form comes home, please return this signed by Wednesday
