   Week of Oct. 30

Monday:  Spelling comes home

Tuesday: Halloween - students are invited to wear simple costumes for the day or to change into their costumes after first recess.  Please ensure that no weapons (even plastic) are part of costumes and that students can still comfortably sit in their desks and move around for the day:)

Classroom Halloween activities will happen in the afternoon.

Wednesday:

Healthy lunch reminders - please minimize candy coming to school and help remind your child that this should be eaten after putting healthy food in our bellies.  A good rule of thumb is a small handful or 5 small items would be lots for the whole day.

Thursday:

Friday (half day):  Spelling assignment and test for list #4

Interested in knowing more about the new Math or LA curriculum in grade 4 this year?

Here are a couple of links to an overview for parents:

* It's also important to note that with the new changes that have just started taking place in our curriculum (and especially the jump in expectations in math) you and your child might see more Progressing (Pg) grades on their report cards in January.  This makes our goal setting meetings next week even more important so I hope to see you all with your child! *
