Novel reviews are like book reports and focus on showing understanding of a whole book, instead of smaller snippets that Reading Records show. We've talked in class about making sure to have a book at an appropriate reading level, and using sticky notes while reading to keep track of both character information and the important events (in order). While we read in class daily, that might not be enough to time complete a full novel for some students so it's recommended that you also read daily at home as well. Aim to complete the novel over the February break and be prepared to begin writing the review after that.
Another plea for volunteers.
Please, please, please let me know if you are able to join us for any of the events listed below. At this time I still have zero volunteers, and for some of these events we are required to have extra helpers. Extra information about each can be found on the blog update earlier this week.
