The next few weeks are going to be busy with Rube Goldberg and swim to survive happening a few times each.

Volunteers are still desperately needed for Feb.13 and Feb.15.
Please send me an email if you can help us.

Monday - Portfolios should be returned to the classroom.  If you haven't sent these back yet, please return them as soon as possible.
- February book orders.  I will be placing this order Thursday so that books have time to make it here before the February week off.  Don't forget you can order these straight from the online site with your VISA, just send me a quick email afterwards so I can check that it has gone through ok.

Tuesday - is a regular day :)

Wednesday - Class picture day in the morning, Swim to survive in the afternoon (please make sure that your child has a seperate, swim bag so that other things in their backpack don't get wet.

Thursday  Book orders are due, Swim to Survive in the afternoon

Friday - Math weekly #8 is due as well as Origami art projects.  Full day Friday.

One final reminder - there will be no reading records the next few weeks.  Instead each student needs a fiction book at their reading level that they will be completing a novel review on in late February.  While reading they should be keeping track of information about the main characters, and the main events (in order).  They will also be asked to compare and contrast this novel to another story, and to review it.

Today in LA was we were working on our describing skills using unique adjectives to go with our quick writes.  Check our these great words that we came up with (1 word chosen per student :)
